Learning to ❤ theory #6: Thinking about doxa

Doxa
— in terms of ancient Greek philosophy — loosely translates to belief. Society as well as people can have it’s doxa, beliefs like the present in liberalism as a very good thing. Being doxa doesn’t mean it is wrong and bad as Plato thought, just remember the Socratic legacy that it should always be challenged.

Aristotle also introduced endoxa, a very ingrained form of doxa. The contradictions of today warrants a thorough look at endoxa, not just doxa. Short term measures and bail-out funds will not do the trick.

Jusqu’ici, tout va bien…
